Allergy Information: Manufactured in a facility that processes: dehydrated milk, soy protein, and wheat flour products.
Directions: Wash beans. Empty contents of seasoning pouch and cleaned beans into large pot with 9 cups of water. Bring to rolling boil. Remove from heat and let soak about 1 hour. Brown 1 lb. cubed smoked sausage or ham and add to beans with 2 Bayou Bay Leaves. Bring to rolling boil then reduce to medium low heat. Cook covered until beans are tender (about 2 hours). For different flavor, substitute 1 lb. browned lean ground meat instead of sausage or ham. Remove bay leaves. Serve over steamed rice or noodles. Talk About good. For vegan preparation, follow above directions using Vegan products. Great News: For 1/2 recipe, adjust 1/2 of all ingredients in above directions. For those who like a milder flavor, adjust seasoning to taste. Enjoy-U-Self.
