This classic Barbaresco embodies a mosaic of the Ceretto family’s finest vineyards located around the village of Asili and those found in the lowest elevation portion of the Bernadot vineyard in Treiso. Ceretto’s Barbaresco goes through a fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tank. Alcoholic fermentation is followed by a 20-25 day maceration and malolactic fermentation is performed in 300L oak barrels. The finished wine is then aged for two years in large 20-50HL oak casks and an additional year in bottle before release. Barbaresco is soft and enjoyable on the palate with clean aromas of bright red fruit, freshly picked rose petals and hints of savory spice. The 2020 vintage received 93 points from James Suckling. In the words of winemaker Alessandro Ceretto, "the vineyards around Asili are known for their explosive finesse, and those around Treiso, for their characteristic richness and elegance, which come together and provide balance in the glass." One 750mL bottle of Ceretto Barbaresco DOCG Red Wine, 13.5% ABV
