Safe Handling Instructions: This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry. Some food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness if the product is mishandled or cooked improperly. For your protection, follow these safe handling instructions. Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard. Thawing Instructions: Thaw your turkey 1-3 days in advance of cooking. Thaw turkey in cold water, in the original wrapping, never let your turkey get warm. Do not thaw overnight or leave unattended. Thaw turkey until bag feels soft. The cold water should be changed every 30 minutes allow approximately 30 minutes per pound. After the turkey is thawed, store turkey in refrigerator. Do not thaw in microwave. Cook from Thaw Instructions: 1. Remove clip holding the drumsticks by pulling the top piece outwards, away from the bird. This will release the drumsticks. 2. Remove the neck from the chest cavity and remove giblets from the neck cavity. Rinse both cavities out with cold water. 3. Place the turkey in the pan with breast side up. 4. Add 2-4 cups water to the bottom of the pan. 5. Preheat oven and bake at 325 degrees F. Begin checking for doneness an hour before the end of the recommended roasting time. For optimal safety, cook stuffing and turkey separately. If desired add fully cooked stuffing to cooked turkey just prior to serving. Oven temperatures vary, so roasting times are approximate.
