S.L.V., also known as Stag’s Leap Vineyard, is the winery’s first vineyard. In 1976, French wine experts ranked the 1973 vintage of S.L.V. higher than two First-Growth and other renowned Bordeaux wines during a blind tasting in Paris. This historic event is now referred to as the “The Judgment of Paris.” The victory at The Judgment of Paris brought international recognition to Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars and the Napa Valley. Today, this vineyard continues to produce wines with layers of complexity, spicy intensity and excellent structure.
